The timeline below serves as a suggested guide for student deliverables after completion of a MacEngaged project during a prior semester. First refer to MacEngaged in One Semester before reading/using content provided in this section. Feel free to incorporate some/all of this content and/or organization into your course.
The two-semester format simply allows for students to remain involved with their project from the previous semester by updating it in term 2 (i.e., lessons learned from implementation in term 1.)
Students will edit/update their SOW by including a section titled ‘Version 2.0: Lessons Learned & Moving Forward’ which will contain a description of how the group plans to improve delivery of their project based on past experience.
The documents provided in this timeline have been adapted from Psych 2NF3: Basic & Clinical Neuroscience (Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour, McMaster University). Please edit them based on scope of your course assignment.
Repeat Goal-Setting Activity: Groups should collectively reflect/brainstorm and create/revisit list of goals that could be attained/practiced through this project.
Ask students to select one-three individual goals out of that list and use the SMART method to further expand upon them.
This will be their first reflection on the LP for this term.
Students begin using the Accountability Matrix.
* Students must use this matrix on a weekly basis.
* Each meeting must start with a review of ongoing and completed tasks. Peer mentors should take a quick glance at the matrix each week.
